Arguably the most perfect views to the second largest rock in the world – Mt Coolum. When our clients invited us onto their newly purchased land, we were immediately covered in goosebumps with the stunning location we were about to work with. There was no doubt that every aspect of this home had to be designed around that 180 degree spectacular view. The block itself posed both budget and construction challenges, with a 17m fall and the unknown of what rock would be hit during construction meant we needed to be cautious at all times in both the design and building process. The house configuration was 4 bedroom 3 bathroom with a guest suite on the upper level. A media and entertainment room with an inbuilt bench seat (which was affectionately known at ‘the pop’ in our collaborative design process), acted as a perfect picture frame for the stunning views this property had to offer and we believe became the home of board game central when the clients moved in.
